Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a FUE last?

A hair transplant can last permanently through an FUE procedure. The hair is genetically
programmed to not fall out. However, if you are prone to hair loss, you will likely have to have
the procedure done in other spots on your scalp as balding progresses throughout time.

What is the success rate for a FUE procedure?

FUE’s hold a much higher success rate than any other hair transplant procedure. Experienced
surgeons report that FUEs have a success rate of 90%. This is a very promising option for any
of our patients that are experiencing hair loss or hair thinning.

Will my FUE look natural?

Yes your FUE will look natural. Because the implanted donor hair starts to work and grow with
your natural hair growth cycle, your newly implanted hair will look perfectly natural. It is our goal
to ensure that our patient's new growth grows directly with your hair that is already healthy.

What is the best age for FUE?

Hair transplants can be performed on anyone over the age of 18. However, experts advise that
you wait until you are at least 25 years of age to ensure that your hair growth pattern has been
fully determined before performing this procedure.

How long does it take to recover after the procedure?

This procedure has a fast recovery time as long as you follow your doctor's recommendations.
Within a week at most you should be back to normal and ready to head back to work and
regular life.

What should I do to prepare for my procedure?

There are a few things that we recommend you do in preparation for your hair transplant
procedure. We advise that you don't cut your hair because the doctor would like to see your hair
and trim it before he begins the transplant. One week before your scheduled appointment, you
should stop taking anti-inflammatory medications (you can resume these medications after your
procedure). Three days before your procedure, we recommend that you stop any alcohol
consumption because it can negatively impact your healing process. We also advise that you do
not dye your hair within 3 days of your procedure. On the day of your appointment, you should
do what you can to be relaxed and have low stress. Gently wash your hair and do not apply any
products whatsoever. Wear comfortable, loose clothing that will be easy to remove over your
head so that you don’t have to touch your scalp post-procedure.

What do I need to do post-procedure?

Post procedure we recommend a variety of things to promote a swift recovery. Some of the
following can help speed up your recovery time: avoiding alcohol for 3 days after your
procedure, waiting at least 24 hours after your procedure to wash your hair, avoiding running,
jogging or cycling for at least 3 days post-procedure, and avoid using hot styling tools on your
hair for at least a week. You should be back to your regular schedule within a matter of days.
FUE is a very minimally invasive procedure which makes the recovery process quick and
minimally painful.

Do FUE’s work for both men and women?

FUE’s are optimal for both males and females because it is minimally invasive and won’t leave
any visible scarring. This procedure can be done on any hair type and will have remarkable
results in both men and women. Because of our minimally invasive approach, this procedure is
widely desired by those who are experiencing hair loss or hair thinning because there is no
scarring, minimal downtime, and impeccable results. Both men and women love this approach
and we are confident that each person will be very pleased with the results that are achieved
through undergoing this advanced procedure.

How do I know if I’m a good candidate?

FUE’s are an optimal choice for many of our patients because most people are great candidates
for this procedure. There are many things that we take into consideration like your age, your
lifestyle and the type and classification of your hair loss. These are all questions that we go over
with you before moving forward with this incredible procedure during our intensive screening
process.
