How does it work?

Using highly concentrated energy, laser hair removal targets the hair follicle destroying it and the associated hair. This process can take several treatments, but once the treatments are completed fewer and fewer hairs will grow back, leaving you with smooth skin.

What device do you use?

Mountain West Medical Services uses a Lumenis Splendor X laser for hair removal. There are many advantages to this device. The Splendor X utilizes two different laser wavelengths that target a variety of different hair colors. Unlike most lasers, it utilizes a square beam versus a circular beam. This minimizes overlap and over-treatment of the skin. Lastly, a cooling fan is used to cool the skin minimizing discomfort.

How many treatments does it take?

Typically, 6 to 8 treatments are needed to get to desired results. Treatments are quick and easy…we can treat an entire body in under 45 minutes!

How much does a session cost?

Unlike other practices that charge a session fee, we charge for a package. A package includes as many treatments that are necessary to get the job done. The only stipulation is that package is good for one year which is more than enough time to get the treatments done. We have simplified our packages as well to the following categories:

• Full body: Includes the entire body (or any portion) from head to toe.
• Large Area: Includes the chest, back, or legs.
• Medium Area: Includes the arms, head, face, or Brazilian.
• Small Area: Lip, chin, armpits, bikini line, or small spot.
