Are you ready for a return to a younger-looking, fresher-feeling you? Cosmetic injectables can take years off of your appearance, delivering long-lasting, effective results and providing you with a ton of self confidence.
At Mountain West Medical Services in Meridian, Idaho, John McRae, DNP, MPH offers a range of minimally invasive procedures to help you look and feel younger than ever. You can mix and match cosmetic injections like Botox®, Juvéderm®, Restylane®, and platelet rich plasma (PRP) for smoother, fresher, more even-looking skin.
One of the most popular facial rejuvenation techniques of all time is Botox, a safe form of botulinum toxin FDA-approved for cosmetic use. It can erase fine lines and wrinkles by targeting and temporarily paralyzing certain facial muscles, causing your skin to relax. Botox injections relax lines that form across your forehead, at the outer corners of your eyes, and between your eyebrows when you smile, laugh, frown, or squint.
Dermal fillers encourage your skin to increase production of collagen and elastin. They can plump our small wrinkles and add volume to your lips, mouth lines, the folds next to your nose and mouth, and your cheeks. Most dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, which is safe to inject and slowly dissolves away to be flushed out by your body’s lymphatic system.
- Restylane plumps out your lips, facial wrinkles and folds between your nose and mouth
- Juvéderm smooths wrinkles, lifts your cheeks, and enhances your lips
Platelet rich plasma is made from your own blood, so it’s a completely holistic injectable. Dr. McRae centrifuges the blood to concentrate the platelets, which contain growth factors that help promote healing and cellular renewal. Then he carefully injects the PRP into aging areas of your face to spur new collagen production and tighten your skin naturally.
Double chin treatment
Dr. McRae also offers Kybella®, a deoxycholic acid injectable. Kybella is injected under the chin, where it works to break down fat and shrink away a double chin.
Another way to promote collagen growth is to use microneedles to lightly penetrate your facial skin. This microneedling procedure causes tiny, invisible injuries to your skin and makes your body start the healing and rejuvenation process. The result is tighter, smoother, softer skin. Dr. McRae uses a handheld device called a Dermapen® so he can carefully control the procedure.
You can get a single treatment or request a complete facial rejuvenation. Dr. McRae will discuss your options to determine which methods best match your goals for your new look, and he’ll work with you to get the results you deserve.
